Post Impressionist Tour:   PART II, October 21st, 2010

The response to the June 3rd Birth of Impressionism Tour was incredible!  We filled two buses!!!!    Most who went indicated a desire to see the Post Impressionist exhibit, so we scheduled a tour for that exhibit on October 21st.  Don’t miss this opportunity to see the works of famous artists, without going to Paris!!   This tour is open to anyone who loves art, so come join us.

Paris’ Musee d’Orsay has shipped some of their art to San Francisco’s De Young Museum while they undergo refurbishing.  De Young is showing two exhibitions:  The Birth of Impressionism featuring such artists as Monet, Manet, Renoir, Degas and Whistler.  The second exhibit is Post Impressionist Masterpieces featuring Van Gogh, Gauguin, Cezanne and more, which starts this fall.

El Dorado Hills Arts Assn. has arranged a bus tour to the second exhibit:
Date: Thursday, October 21, 2010.

Price:  $45 per person
Includes transportation to/from De Young Museum, Tickets for the Museum tour, bridge tolls, parking, driver tip, drinks and snacks to and from San Francisco.
Time:  7:45 am – 5:30 pm

Meet at 7:45 a.m. in the EDH Towne Center parking lot near Wells Fargo Bank.  Bus leaves at 8:15 a.m. and arrives in San Francisco at approx 10:30.
This should allow time to visit the Academy of Science or the Japanese Tea Garden nearby, then enjoy lunch on your own before our Tour, which is 1:00 p.m.to 3:00 p.m.  The DeYoung Museum has a wonderful café and there are several nearby cafes and restaurants to accommodate us.

Buses will leave SF at 3:30 p.m. and arrive home approx. 5:30 p.m.
Your check is your reservation and all reservations are due by September 15, 2010.
Make your check payable to EDH Art Assn. and mail to:  EDH Art Assn,
P.O. Box 5277, EDH CA 95762.  Reservations will be accepted in order of date received.  These buses will fill up fast, so don’t wait!  Mail your check now.
